I’ve always felt a deep connection to Vans’ spirit of creativity, authenticity, and inclusivity. Through my writing, I focus on blending lifestyle, culture, and adventure to spark real connections with audiences who value authenticity and expression.

In my latest pitch, "Why It’s Time for Vans to Ride the Surf Wave Harder," I share my vision for how Vans can expand its surf wear line and connect even more deeply with beach communities and youth culture. As someone who lives for the ocean, I see so much potential for Vans to grow its surf identity alongside its legendary skate roots — and I’d love the chance to help tell that story.

Right now, the offering is minimal, mostly board shorts, but I see significant potential for expanding the range to include surf gear like wetsuits, rash guards, and more casual beachwear. I’d love to write a piece for you that explores the untapped potential of your surf wear line. Most people still see Vans as a skate brand first—but the surf side of your identity deserves more attention. Right now, the line mostly features board shorts and a few basics, but there's real room to grow. From rash guards and wetsuits to beach-ready loungewear and pieces for both guys and girls, there's a huge opportunity to expand the product range and bring in a broader audience. By leaning into surf, Vans could connect with beach communities and youth culture in a whole new way.

This story would be aimed at current Vans fans, lifestyle surfers, and anyone who craves both function and fashion by the ocean. I’d love to write this piece to spotlight the energy already there in the surf line and inspire a new wave of Vans wearers who see themselves reflected in the next chapter.
